Oliver, sample book containing c. 60 pages of samples (and a single page price list) of various engine turned designs, including Heraldic Scrolls, Combination Scrolls, Medallic Medals, Stipple Tints, Borders, Grounds, Ovals and Circles, etc., the pages mostly "exploded"; a few samples cut out, many of the designs being reminiscent of the backgrounds used for Great Britain line engraved and other stamps. A fascinating volume, showing many hundreds of different designs used in the printing process. £500-600
