Marklin Gauge 1 Rack Train exceptionally rare and early example including Locomotive and two Swiss 'Summer Coaches' R1825, locomotive is incomplete and missing its mechanism, though the body is in good original condition. The real interest lies in the two coaches, these are probably the earliest examples to have come onto the market for many years, hand painted coaches perforated sides, opening roofs, seating with spikes and red painted curtains, Excellent examples of the late Victorian/early Edwardian tinsmiths' art. Coaches are completely original and have the large 'T' loop couplings that Marklin used only between 1899 and 1904, condition Good to Good Plus £2400-£2800
