x 1935 (6 May) envelope from Abuqir to England bearing, on reverse, Jubilee 1pi. ultramarine cancelled by c.d.s. and retta with part Alexandria transit c.d.s. (8.5) above, the face panel with Crowned "egypt/13/postage paid" handstamp in red and despatch c.d.s. A rarity on cover as 6 May was a service holiday in Egypt and post boxes were cleared only once in the morning with many letters bearing this issue not postmarked until the following day.
