A well detailed and presented 1 1/2in:1ft. scale model of Royal Mail, London - Dover Stage Coach, no. 17 (12 3/4 x 19 1/4in., 32.5 x 49.5cm.), the chassis with braced axle beams, working leaf springs, wooden spoked wheels with metal tyres and hubcaps with bolted plates, metal furnished pole with swinging trees, steps and brake shoes. The body details include fully upholstered interior, glazed windows, opening door, driver and watchman's seats with leather covered cushions, lamps, tool box with blunderbuss, coaching horn, whip and many other details; finished in red, maroon and black with fine lining and lettering. Presented on a display base in the form of a cobbled roadway. Magnificent. Photo £5,000-6,000
