1917 (11 Sept.) envelope from Livingstone to Durban, bearing "Half/Penny" on 1d. rose-carmine in combination with 1d. rose-red sharing two c.d.s., no other postal markings; envelope with a central horizontal fold. A rare stamp on commercial envelope in date period £150-200

Inverted Surcharges

Two panes, 120 stamps in all, with inverted surcharge, were discovered, having been purchased at the Livingstone Post Office. These panes differed in colour. One pane was rose-scarlet and this was photographed mint and intact in 1919. The other pane was rose-carmine and this was broken up in Livingstone
