MAILEY ARTHUR: (1886-1967) Australian Cricketer. A good, small selection of three original pen and ink caricatures, each drawn and signed by Mailey on 8vo pages removed from an autograph album. The first depicts Vic Richardson (1894-1969, Australian Cricket Captain) in a profile head and shoulders pose, signed by Mailey with his initials ('AM') and also signed by Richardson with his name alone in dark fountain pen ink at the base; the second depicts Alan Kippax (1897-1972, Australian Cricketer) in a profile portrait pose, signed by Mailey with his initials ('AM') and also signed by Kippax with his name alone in dark fountain pen ink at the base; and the third depicts a gentleman, seemingly down on his luck, seated on a box in a full length pose, holding out a cup in one hand as he appeals for coins. YORKSHIRE C.C.C.: A rare vintage signed 10.5 x 5 photograph by all eleven members of the Yorkshire cricket team of 1929 individually, Emmott Robinson, Frank Dennis, Wilfred Rhodes, William Worsley, George Hirst, Frank Greenwood, Maurice Leyland, George Macaulay, Arthur Mitchell, Arthur Wood and Wilf Barber. The image depicts the team standing together in full length poses in a row before a pavilion during the Scarborough Festival. Signed by each with their names alone in bold fountain pen inks to clear areas of the image. A heavy vertical crease runs through the centre of the image (repaired to the verso), just affecting Hirst's signature. Some slight corner creasing, about G £100 - 150

VARDON HARRY: (1870-1937) British Golfer, Open Championship winner 1896, 1898, 1899, 1903, 1911 & 1914. Fountain pen ink signature ('Harry Vardon') at the head of a page contained in an autograph album. Beneath Vardon's signature, on the same page, appear the signatures of the golfers Charles Whitcombe, George Duncan (Open Championship winner 1920), Archie Compston and Bill Shankland. The facing page is signed by Harry B. Simpson. The album also includes some signatures, verses and sketches etc., by family and friends of the collector. About VG £200 - 300
