Rio de Janeiro Prices Current, possibly written from there or elsewhere, to Liverpool with a direction that if not there to be forwarded to London, rated "1/4" and showing, on reverse, Liverpool and London datestamps together with reverse step-type "ship letter/cowes" handstamp across join; the interesting contents with reference to the idea of setting up Penal Settlements in the islands, comment on the number of islands and the hope that convicts could be sent to the larger islands after exemplary conduct, and a note regarding the late Falkland Islands Land Governor Mr. Lowcay; one of the panels missing though a fascinating letter.
