Album COMMONWEALTH (Photo) (plate 1) 1840/1936 collection in printed Ideal album with a very useful content, typically with the earlier material used and the later mint. There are strong showings from many countries with numerous better items throughout. These include Antigua SG 19 and 30 mint, 29 and 51 used, Australia used 'Roos to £1 plus 10/- SG 136 and 5/- Bridge, Bahamas SG 45, 89 and 1911 to 3/- mint, Barbados SG 5 and 11 used, 1916 to 3/- and Victory set, Barbuda o/pt set mint, Bechuanaland 1932 to 5/- mint, SG 16, 17 and 28 used, Br. Guiana, Br. Hond 2, 63 and 109 mint, 3/4, 26 and 35 used. Fiscal cancels, damaged etc have not been included in valuation. Some stamps removed but on the whole a very worthwhile collection. Cat £140,000+ £15000-18000

Album COMMONWEALTH (Photo) (plate 2) 1937/52 GVI collection in printed SG 'Crown' album, mostly fine used [there are some mint here and there but the sets are not mixed]. Plenty of the 1st defin 1938 sets incl Ascension [with some perfs], Bahamas, Bahrain, Bechuanaland, Bermuda, Burma and HK, also Aden 1937 to 5r, Solomon Is. Dues, several Malaysia sets to $5 [also Kedah 1937 to $2], North Borneo 1950, 1947 Pakistan, 1950 Somalia, 1942 Tonga and some NZ Postal Fiscals. The mint incl Canada, of note 1949 OHMS set, Australia incl BCOF, GB and Morocco Agencies. A fine, clean lot, (which has additionally been priced for resale at total £11,000 - used at 55% mint at 40%) with a total catalogue of around £22,000. £4500-5500

Album ALL WORLD QV-1915 mint and used collection in green printed Ideal album (8th edition), incl much BE with Canada, Cape of Good Hope, Gold Coast, Hong Kong, India (vals to 10r), Mauritius, Nova Scotia, OFS with 1877 4d on 6d fine used (scarce), Queensland, Rhodesia 1890 £1 fine used, Samoa, South Australia, Straits with better QV, non-BE is comprehensive (probably better than BE) with strength in good Austria, Belgium, Bosnia, South and Central America, Denmark, France and Cols., Germany and States, Japan, Portugal and Cols., Chile, Greece etc. Condition variable, but overall generally good or better. Carton THEMATIC Extensive collection of u/m 1950's to late '90's material housed in 24 Lindner albums [generally between 50 and 100 sets or sheets in each] in 2 large crates. The theme is Flora and Fauna and as such presents a wonderful range of Wildlife, Birds, Fish, Flowers etc. The majority are from British Commonwealth countries and incl many better definitive sets, plus commems and m/sheets. The collection is arranged geographically with 4 albums from the Caribbean, 2 from Pacific Islands and 5 from Africa [noted Bechuanaland 1961 set, Mozambique fish etc]. There are 2 from Europe and the Middle East [incl Ireland and Gibraltar], 1 of Australasia, 2 from the Americas [incl the USA Flowers and Birds sheetlets etc] and 2 from Indian Ocean [noted Mauritius 1950 and '65 Birds sets, Seychelles 1962 and BIOT 1968 sets]. 3 albums of Asia incl some useful China, Japan and Vietnam sets, also Singapore, and Malaysia with 1965 Birds. Finally 3 albums of Antarctic and South Atlantic with Falklands incl 1960 Birds set, BAT, Ascension 1956 and '63 Birds plus, significantly, many of the better French Antarctic issues.
