TIGER TIM ENAMEL ADVERTISING SIGN - RAINBOW COMIC a lovely enamelled advertising sign showing Tiger Tim and his friends. Titled A Handful of Fun, and advertising the Rainbow Comic. With pierced holes around the outside of the sign. 75 by 49cms. *The first issue of the Rainbow Comic appeared in 1914, and included Tiger Tim and his friends, known as the Bruin Boys. Tiger Tim then appeared in his own comic and became one of the longest running Comic characters, finally finishing in 1985 in the Jack and Jill Comic. See Illustration £60-100

RARE SET OF WWII POSTERS - 'SEEING IT THROUGH' a wonderful set of six WWII posters, entitled 'Seeing it through'. These posters were commissioned by London Transport in 1944, commemorating acts of heroism made by Civilian Workers during the war. Designed by Eric Henri Kennington and accompanied by poems by Patrick Herbert, the posters depict a Policeman, Tube Station Porter, Bus Driver (two versions), Bus Conductor, and Firefighter.
