(filing crease) nicely placed on the top flap and having a fine red oval-framed Bombay "INDIA" on the front. The part contents extoll the virtues of a ship called the 'Salopian' and her Captain Bell as the fastest and best of the available tea-clippers and hoping that she can run regularly between Canton and Liverpool. SPECTACULAR 32c-RATE "S1" COVER TO SCOTLAND REDIRECTED TO IRELAND WITH A G.B. 1d RED; 26th Aug. 1869 env. (some edge-wear; the stamps appear to have been lifted to check their watermarks and then neatly put back in their original positions) to Scotland "Via Marseilles", franked by Hong Kong 24c green & 8c orange tied to each other (and minutely tied to the cover) by a single very fine "S1" cancel with a matching very fine "SHANGHAE/A" c.d.s. on the reverse.
