Imperial German Pour le Merite a most interesting example and not one of the manymodern dark blue enamel copies often encountered. This example in correct powderblue enamel has maker stampings at the top loop area of J.G.u.S & 938, the gilding issomewhat toned but overall it is in good condition with no loss to the enamelling. If notoriginal it is of very good construction and deserves close scrutiny, possibly a WW2example for wearing, GVF+
