| BWM K7796 J.G.Errington L.Sto.RN who was from Rotherhithe,London, born 9-12-1891, enlisted 25-7-1910 and was severely wounded in action on HMS Amethyst 13-3-1915 during mine clearance operations in the Dardanelles, the ship was bombardingthe forts but on the night of 13th-14th March was hit by field artillery which killed 22men and injured 38 of whom 4 died of their wounds. After recovering he re joined hisship and survived the war. NEF £30 - £35 |
