11 photo albums of fairground rides, scenes, families and engines. A fascinating archive, the postcard sized photo's are all copies of originals and cover the period from 1880's-1960's all in black and white it is understood that the collection was put together by the grandson of Alfred Fossett who features in the collection of over 1,600 images. The majority of the images have a typed strip to the reverse identifying the scene, ride, engine or figure together with a reference number. J Mellor appears often as 'photo by...'. An extraordinary and comprehensive archive of a fast disappearing world.

3ins scale Burrell style single cylinder freelance agricultural traction engine. Constructed c1982 by a skilled engineering technician utilising Plastow castings, receipts for these are present. The owner relates that the engine has never been steamed since construction and is still in bare metal finish. The original record of the boiler test is present.

A 1ins scale model Sanderson 12hp Steam Beam Engine of 1846. Main frame has a centre fluted column, bore 7/8ins-stroke 2.5ins, 9.75ins dia' flywheel & flyball governor. Mounted on hardwood base 21ins x 11ins, a static exhibit that can be driven by electric motor finished in maroon and cream.
