Doepke (USA) large pressed steel American La France Aerial Ladder Fire Engine - impressive early example from the 1950's being 34"/86cm long, fitted with open trussed elevating and extending ladder. The truck is red with steerable front wheels, chequered aluminium running boards to each side, extendable stabilisers, red beacon and original side mounted bell. There is a minor repair to one of the plastic hydraulic rams but the engine does come with a selection of additional aluminium ladders of various lengths, together with Arcade/Kenton or similar loose cast metal tools - a Good Plus example which is scarce in the UK. £100-£150

Yanoman (Japan) No.5548 battery operated "Rendezvous 78 Space Ship" - very rare tinplate battery operated 2-part space vehicle - metallic blue with tinprinted detail, comes in 2 parts, the front separates from the rear, includes SR10 Rocket on Launcher with operating handle, docking station switch. Power is by mystery action to underside, where there are 2 separate individual battery compartments, some surface corrosion in that area of the baseplate particularly near one where the battery compartment cover requires reattachment but is included, otherwise a Good Plus example for display which is rare in any condition, this being the first that Vectis have had, 15"/38cm, comes in a Good card box with some inner packaging (lid torn at one corner). £300-£400
