This stamp is centred to the right (also found on the singles and block of four from the top rows of the perf.15 stamps). A good example of one of the most sought-after stamps of Chinese philately. Photo £26,000-30,000 The unsurcharged stamp is the precursor to the very popular revenue surcharge issues. In 1987, 53 examples were recorded in, The Revenue Surcharges of China 1897. A few others have surfaced in collections since then, including this example.
