A late 18th Century mahogany tip-up-top occasional table, the round top raised on a gun barrel stem with writhen base, raised on three cabriole legs, 24 3/4in. diameter x 28 1/2in. high. £100 - 200

A late Regency/William IV rosewood side table, by Miles & Edwards, 134 Oxford Street, London, of rectangular form with rounded corners, fitted a cedar-lined frieze drawer stamped No. 1473, fitted with Chubb's patent lock, raised on twin barley-sugar supports united by a barley-sugar twist stretcher, the curved platform feet raised on bun supports, 30 x 18 x 29in. high.
NB: The firm of Miles & Edwards traded on Oxford Street from 1822-1844 and had many prestigious patrons, including the British Ambassador to Paris, The Empress of Russia, the Turkish Ambassador and Lord Palmerston, together with important country houses such as Burton Constable.
