| A Rolex Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master automatic gentleman's wristwatch, the black dial with luminous circle, baton and arrow numeral indicators and hands, including a time-zone indicator, date aperture at third hour, red and blue arabic calibrating bezel, in brushed steel case, ref. 1675, circa 1971, on a Rolex steel link strap. Note: This watch belonged to John 'Slim' MacDonnell, (1940-2012). Slim was a pioneer photographer who developed lightweight cameras to film in difficult situations. Throughout his carrier he worked with Richard Branson, Steve Fossett, Formula One, and on the set of James Bond, Octopussy. He also was a member of the Navy diving team at Donald Campbell's fateful run in Bluebird on 4th January 1967 after which Slim recorded footage of the wreck for ITV News.
