(Photo) (plate 13) 1924 UPU set to 5k fine mint. Cat £700 (Res. £180) £200SWITZERLANDMost Swiss lots in this sale are from our purchase in December 2012 of the entire (and comprehensive) mint and used stock of Helvetia Stamps Ltd. Their stock was arranged in Zumstein catalogue order and priced against Zumstein quotations. We have re-described and re-ordered the listings, giving SG order, references and catalogue values, cross-referencing with Zumstein where we feel this is helpful to our customers (such as for pre-War u/m [nhm] stamps, where SG prices are for mounted) or simply quoting Zumstein numbers where items are not listed by SG (such as plate flaws, gutter pairs, X perfins and the like).Estimated values, as always, are based on what similar material has fetched in the past (rather than all being the same simplistic % of catalogue value), and represent a typical average 40% discount from Helvetia Stamps Ltd's retail prices (and a similar, though slightly lower, discount from Leo Baresch Ltd's prices, whose complete stock we also bought [in November 2010]). You are free to bid above or below our estimates as you think fit (though bids lower than 70% of estimate may not be entered) We regret we do not service Wants Lists (other than for early GB). "At Home" traditional regular approval selections are available on request for most countries, including an extensive range of Switzerland, both mint and used, from earliest issues to approx 2000 (GB to date) from 20p up to about £100 per item. Other stamps (Swiss and all countries) may be purchased directly from our website |
