Particularly fine quality throughout, some 'M' cancels incl 1d red 'star' in strip of 3, also strip of 3 on cover to Genova, 1857 4d and 1857 6d lilac on cover to Amsterdam. Extensive 'A25' cancels incl 1d 'star' strip of 3 on cover to Naples, 1856 1/- [cds] and on cover to Cardiff, 6d deep lilac, a range of 1858 2d plates, 1862 4d in pair plus on cover to Messina [2, one with disinfection slits], 1862 1/-, 1862 3d pale carmine in pair, 1865 3d pl 4 and lovely pairs and singles of 1865 4d vermilion incl 4 x covers. Also noted 10d red brown, 4d sage, 1865 1/- green, 1872 6d buff and 6d grey pl 12 [2, one on piece with 2d blue], 1880 2d x 3 and 2 x 5d and many fine 2 1/2d rosy mauve, 2 1/2d blue and 3d rose plates.
