A Silver Gilt Mounted German Faience Enghalskrug, circa 1720, the mounts by Elias Adam, Augsburg, the domed cover with circular panel depicting the Lamb of God and with scroll thumb piece over a ribbed neck, wrythen body and double ropetwist handle, painted in blue with stylised foliage, the circular foot with stiff leaf mount, painted caduceus mark in blue, 17.5cm high
Elias Adam became a master in Augsburg around 1704 and specialised in the mounting of porcelain, pottery and hardstone vessels. A Böttger Red Glazed Brown Stoneware Tea Bowl and Saucer, circa 1715, the decoration probably slightly later, gilt in the workshop of Abraham Seuter with chinoiserie figures within laube und bandelwerk borders
Whilst the workshop of Abraham and Bartolomaus Seuter in Augsberg decorated many pierces of Meissen porcelain, it is very unusual to find their work on Böttger stoneware. £2500 - 3500

A Meissen Porcelain Goldchinesen Teapot and Cover, circa 1725, with scroll handle and eagle spout, the domed cover with disk finial, gilt in the Augsburg workshop of Abraham Seuter with chinoiserie scenes depicting figures in hammocks suspended from palm trees above further figures taking tea within scroll borders and with further vignettes, trace of lustre 13 marks to inside of cover and base, 11.5cm high
